Erin Renwick

Project Manager, Vannoy Construction

“I went to school for interior design but found construction a better fit. A lot of people in our field get started elsewhere or working with their hands in the field. It’s valuable to get that experience early on. Construction is not just swinging hammers all day. My position is challenging, with high stakes, a big budget, tight schedule, and high expectations. There’s a lot to manage, but it’s very rewarding. It’s fun to figure it all out—like getting a new puzzle every day. There are so many different projects and businesses to work on. You don’t have to limit yourself. You can keep your boots on the ground or elevate to a foreman or superintendent. The sky’s the limit.”
